A proper everyday mobile — without the surveillance
The Matrix mobile is used just like any other Android phone. You make calls, browse the web, send messages, and use your apps as usual. The difference is barely noticeable in everyday life — but it's there all the time: no Google logging your location, what you search for, or which apps you open. We install and set everything up for you, so you just need to press the start button.
Your apps and BankID work
In principle, all apps work exactly as usual in the phone's secure profile – without Google services in the background. BankID works, and most Swedish banking apps work excellently. The few apps that require Google can be run in a separate, isolated profile with sandboxed Google Play, so that the rest of the phone remains private. You never have to choose between your privacy and making everyday life work.
This is why we build on Google Pixel
It might sound counterintuitive to remove Google while choosing a Pixel – but Pixel phones have the market's strongest hardware security, with the Titan M security chip and verified boot. GrapheneOS builds on precisely those features. So you get the Pixel's solid hardware, but an operating system that works for you instead of for advertising networks.
Security updates for many years
GrapheneOS delivers security updates continuously — often faster than standard Android — and the Pixel series receives support for longer than most phones on the market. Your phone will remain secure and functional for many years to come.
Our responsibility — and our help
We guarantee that the mobile's basic functions will work upon delivery, and each unit is manually quality-checked before it leaves us in Hedemora. GrapheneOS and the apps are open-source software developed by independent projects – not by us. That's the whole point: no one, not even us, has a hidden backdoor into your phone. Should you have any questions or get stuck, our Swedish support is here to help you with guidance, tips, and troubleshooting as far as we are able.
